THANK YOU! To all of you who came out to my Medicine Song CD Listening Party Thursday August 27, 2009

The event went off really well and was enjoyed by all who attended. Here are a few photos of the Launch...

Produced and arranged by Lisa Patterson of imaginit music (left), Medicine Song features acclaimed Canadian dub poet icon Lillian Allen (below) as well a stellar line-up of side musicians.

Guitar geniuses Rohan Staton (Jully Black) and Tony Campbell (Barrington Levy, Judy Mowatt), bassists Dennis Mohammed (Jesse Cook, Sass Jordan) and Lester Boyke, flutist Ernie Tollar (Maryem Tollar, Chris Mckhool) and earthy percussionists Morgan Doctor (Bob Wiseman, Toronto Tabla Ensemble) and Derek Thorne (Kobotown), among others, contributed their talents to this CD.

The Medicine Song CD was created with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts, the Ontario Arts Council, Charlie Coffey, O.C. and several other private donors.

“Brenda MacIntyre’s new album Medicine Song won’t just get your toes tapping; it will also soothe your soul and calm your spirit.”—The Native Canadian, July/August 2009
